Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP) is about modeling and understanding patterns in our behaviour, thoughts and beliefs about ourselves. Developed initially in the 1970s by Richard Bandler and John Grinder many key thinkers like Robert Dilts and Judith Delozier have contributed to its development since.
NLP works on the principle that we construct our own reality and that, once we take responsibility for our model of the world, we can make changes that help us overcome problems and difficulties that restrict us or just become an even better version of ourselves than we already are.
Many of the tools used in NLP are simple in nature and help us to both understand the model of the world we have created and for us to unlock the resources we need to make change happen. Once learned many NLP techniques are instantly accessible for us to use without the need for further expert help! Whilst the tools may be simple many of the changes we are able to make are profound and help us become the person we want to be.
NLP psychotherapy is a journey towards creating the world we desire.
